What you get on the free tier
200-question timed mock exam
200 questions. 230-minute timer. The real exam has 230 items in that time, so you get more time per question here. Drawn to ARRT's 2027 category split (31 Patient Care, 46 Safety, 51 Image Production, 72 Procedures), which takes effect on 1 March 2027. Percentage score + breakdown by ARRT subcategory.
A 50-question quiz
One fixed, untimed quiz spread across all 4 ARRT content categories. A few of its questions also appear in the mock. Every question has a rationale, and you can re-drill what you missed on the review page.
3 chapters in full
Three complete chapters are unlocked so you can judge the writing, the depth, and the clinical context before paying for anything.
The honest free tier
We get tired of "free trials" that auto-bill you in 7 days. So we built this differently.
No credit card
Signup takes a name, email and password. We literally cannot charge you because you have not given us a way to.
No expiration
The free tier has no expiry date. Take the mock exam later, when you are closer to your real exam date. It stays on the 2027 split, so if you test before 1 March 2027 your real exam's mix will differ.
No trial to expire
The dashboard says what Premium unlocks, locked items carry a badge, and paywalled pages point to plans. There is no trial, so there are no "your trial expires!" reminders.
30-day refund on your first Monthly or Annual purchase
Paid plans open soon. If you upgrade to Monthly or Annual and decide it is not for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of your first purchase. The policy doesn't list the 90-Day Pass. No reason needed. See conditions.

Is the ARRT practice test really free?
Yes. The Radtechprepper free tier includes a 200-question timed mock exam, plus a 50-question quiz, plus 3 chapters of the curriculum, with zero credit card required. Sign up with a name, email and password, verify your email, and start.
Do I need to enter my credit card?
No. Signup takes a name, email and password. No card, no automatic conversion to paid, no hidden trial expiration. The free tier has no expiry date.
What is the catch?
The free tier is free, and it is a small part of the app. The paywall covers the remaining 25 chapters, the remaining 2,343 practice questions and category drills, the unlimited mock exams the simulator generates to the ARRT blueprint, all flashcards, 13 of the 18 formula concept pages, positioning beyond the free chest PA demo, the 3D lab, 23 of the 64 exam traps and every trap drill, the arcade, the mistake drill, the daily quiz and the premium forum categories. Paid plans open soon. The free 50 + the free sample exam let you gauge whether you like the platform before committing.
Can I share the free practice test with classmates?
The free tier is per-user, but anyone can sign up. Send classmates this URL: radtechprepper.com/arrt-practice-test-free and they will get the same free 50 questions and 1 mock exam.
Will the free practice test prepare me for the real ARRT?
On its own, probably not. The free tier gives you one 200-question timed sample exam, drawn to the 2027 category split, with more time per question than the real exam. It shows you the format and where you stand on that sample. Your real score depends on what you study from there, which is why Premium exists.
