We make Radtechprepper, an ARRT® Radiography exam prep app, so this is a maker’s ranking, and we put our own product first. On November 1, 2026, we read each competitor’s radiography sales and pricing pages, plus its terms, help and guarantee pages where we found them. We did not buy paid accounts or open free trials, so we rank on what each platform states and don’t grade the quality of anyone else’s questions. The order is our judgment, not the output of a formula: we weighed how much study material a plan includes and how you learn from it, alongside price and free access. If you care only about price, or only about question count, you would order this list differently. Every competitor fact below is as of November 1, 2026. Prices change, so check before you buy.

Where is a competitor cheaper than Radtechprepper?
All of these are as of November 1, 2026:
- Pocket Prep is cheaper on every plan. $15.99 against our $39 for a month, $39.99 against our $99 for about 90 days, and $95.99 against our $199 for a year. You get 500 questions.
- RadReview’s question bank is cheaper for about 90 days. $78 buys 4 months, against our $99 for 90 days. If you only need six months, its bank at $102 and its course at $138 cost less to pay than our Annual plan at $199.
- BoardVitals ties us at $99 for 3 months. If you only need six months, its $139 plan costs less to pay than our $199 Annual plan.
- Prepry’s annual website price is 99 cents more than ours. That is effectively a tie.
We cost less than RadTechBootCamp on all three plans. We cost less than Prepry for one month and for about 90 days. We cost less than RadReview’s question bank for one month, by $3, and less than its 4-month course, by $15.

#1 Radtechprepper
What it is: written chapters, questions, flashcards, formulas and timed mocks for the ARRT Radiography registry exam, in one login, on your phone’s browser.
Why we rank it first:
- The most radiography questions any of these platforms publishes. 2,500+ today (2,584; from March 1, 2027, generated mocks draw from 2,504, and category drills keep all 2,584). Every question has a written rationale.
- Written chapters and questions together. 28 chapters and 570+ study slides you can search, skim and screenshot. RadReview’s Course adds a digital book, and Kettering ships a study guide. The others list no written chapters on the pages we read.
- Flashcards and formulas included. 1,500+ flashcards and 35 formulas with 19 drill problems. Only Prepry lists flashcards in its plan. Kettering sells them separately at $57 a set, or $49 with HomeStudy.
- A 90-day price that ends. The 90-Day Pass is $99 once and never renews. That is $25 below RadTechBootCamp’s quarterly plan.
- A free tier you can study from. 3 full chapters (Skull, Elbow and Shoulder, Urinary), 50 questions and 1 200-question timed mock, no card. All three free chapters are Procedures chapters, so no Patient Care, Safety or Image Production chapter is free.
- Both exam outlines. The app already holds the outline in force now and the one that starts March 1, 2027.
Paid plans add all 28 chapters, the full question bank and unlimited full-length mocks. Paid plans include a pass guarantee, with conditions, and a 30-day refund on your first Monthly or Annual purchase. That policy doesn’t list the 90-Day Pass. See every plan on the pricing page.
The honest concession: we have no video, no store app and no published pass rate, because we are new in 2026 and have no outcome data. You also can’t buy a paid plan today. If any of those decides it for you, weigh it now.
Best for: candidates who learn by reading and drilling, and who want one platform for the whole job.
#2 RadTechBootCamp
What it is: Clover Learning’s video course. Clover’s help centre says it discontinued its “bootcamp” products, including RadTechBootCamp, in favor of plans such as Training and Exam Prep, while its product page still uses the RadTechBootCamp name, so we use it here too. As of November 1, 2026, its pages list $55 a month, $124 for 3 months or $264 a year, with 250+ video lessons, 1,000+ questions, a full-length mock exam simulator, a 96% pass rate claim and 100,000+ accounts created.
Why it ranks second and not lower: the video library is real and large. If you learn best by watching someone work through a concept, nothing else here matches it. We rank it above the other alternatives for that reason.
Why it ranks below Radtechprepper (all as of November 1, 2026):
- No free tier listed. Its pages list no way to try the material first. Our free tier has three chapters, 50 questions and a full mock, with no card.
- It renews. Its pages say subscriptions renew automatically. Its 3-month plan costs $124. Our 90-Day Pass costs $99 once and doesn’t renew.
- Fewer questions. 1,000+ against our 2,500+.
- No written chapters or flashcards listed. Its pages describe video lessons, quizzes and mocks. We include 28 written chapters and 1,500+ flashcards.
- A shorter refund window. Its refund runs 10 days on the first payment of a new plan and is denied if you attempted post-course assessments. Its page calls this “a satisfaction guarantee rather than a guarantee of passing your exam.”
The honest concession: we have no video lessons at all, and that matters to some candidates. RadTechBootCamp also publishes a pass rate and we have none. Its 96% is its own claim, its page doesn’t say how it is measured, and we haven’t verified it, but we have nothing to put beside it yet. You can also buy theirs today. If a large video library and a published pass rate are what you are buying, buy theirs.
Best for: candidates who learn from video and who don’t mind a subscription with no free tier.
#3 Prepry
What it is: as of November 1, 2026, a subscription at $49.99 a month or $199.99 a year on its website, on web, iPhone and Android. Its help centre says the exact price can vary by exam and store, and that individual students can request a $399.99 Lifetime plan. It lists video lessons, flashcards, a 220-question mock and a free study outline.
Which question count is right? Its radiography page shows 1,550+ practice questions and also shows 10,000+. Its pricing page gives 10,000+ as the total across all its exams, so that figure isn’t radiography alone. Its App Store listing gives 2,085+ for the ARRT Radiography exam. We can’t tell which of the two is current, so we state both.
Why it ranks below Radtechprepper: it lists fewer radiography questions (1,550+ on its site and 2,085+ on its App Store listing, against 2,500+) and no chapter-by-chapter written course on the pages we read. Its free tier lists 25 questions per bank, a Question of the Day, a practice test, study PDFs and 30-60 second video previews. Ours is three chapters, 50 questions and a full mock. About 90 days costs $149.97 on monthly payments, against our $99.
The honest concession: Prepry has video and we don’t, and it has store apps. Its pass guarantee states clear conditions: at least 3 months as a paid subscriber, 80% or higher on mocks and 80% of questions moved to learned, for 3 free months, claimed within 30 days of the failed exam. Its annual website price is within a dollar of ours.
#4 RadReview
What it is: a McGraw Hill subscription. As of November 1, 2026, the Question Bank costs $42 for 1 month, $78 for 4 months or $102 for 6 months, and the Course costs $78, $114 or $138. It lists 1,800+ exam-style questions and one 200-question mock. The Course adds a digital version of Radiography PREP. Earlier versions of this page described RadReview as a book plus access code. Its site now sells these subscriptions and doesn’t list a book or code as a requirement.
Why it ranks below Radtechprepper: fewer questions (1,800+ against 2,500+), no flashcards or formulas listed as included, and a free trial that its help page describes as a limited question set and limited functionality. Its terms of use say “Fees and charges are non-refundable.” Its site says the Course’s Learning Center isn’t available in the mobile app, only through the web version.

#5 BoardVitals
What it is: a question bank from a company that also sells prep for nursing, medical, pharmacy and other exams. As of November 1, 2026: $59 for 1 month, $99 for 3 months or $139 for 6 months, with 1,100+ questions, “Detailed Explanations and Rationales” and a mobile app.
Why it ranks below Radtechprepper: at $99 for 3 months the price is a tie, and you get 1,100+ questions against our 2,500+. Its page lists no written chapters or flashcards. It lists a “100% Pass Guarantee” on the 3- and 6-month plans. That page states no terms, but its separate pass guarantee page says that if you don’t pass, you get a free subscription for the length you originally bought, once you send your fail notice.
The honest concession: its free trial needs no card and gives select questions. Its page also says the bank includes one free full-length mock, but doesn’t say whether the trial does. If you only need six months, its plan costs less to pay than our Annual plan.
#6 Pocket Prep
What it is: a question app on web, iPhone and Android. As of November 1, 2026: $15.99 a month, $39.99 for 3 months or $95.99 a year, with 500 questions in 8 subjects and 30 free questions.
Why it ranks below Radtechprepper: it has 500 questions against our 2,500+, and its page describes no chapters, flashcards or full-length mock. The ARRT exam has 200 scored questions, so one full mock would use 40% of that bank.
The honest concession: it is the cheapest option here on every plan, and it offers 3 extra months free as a pass guarantee, with conditions: a paid subscription of at least 3 months, every question attempted and an 80%+ average on practice exams. If your budget is the deciding factor, that matters.
#7 Kettering
What it is: a review course from Kettering National Seminars. As of November 1, 2026, its catalog lists HomeStudy at $277 and Video On-Demand at $303. Both include a study guide, a workbook, a full-length practice exam and 10 tokens for extra practice questions. HomeStudy has 9 hours 48 minutes of audio lectures, with one year of access. On-Demand has 11 hours 40 minutes of video lectures, with 90 days of access. Its radiography page also lists live seminars, but the schedule view we opened showed none.
Why it ranks below Radtechprepper: it costs about three times our 90-Day Pass, the pages we read give no total question count, and flashcard sets cost $57 each, or $49 with HomeStudy. The practice exam can be taken twice in the 90 days after you start it.
The honest concession: Kettering’s guarantee pays money back. Its FAQ says HomeStudy and On-Demand both carry a 1-year money-back guarantee: a full refund, excluding shipping, if you don’t pass. It applies to individuals only, and you return the complete package with your original or notarized scores. The HomeStudy page says refund requests must be received within seven days of a failed exam. The FAQ is stricter: the package itself must reach its office within 7 days of the day you receive your failed results, so plan on that. Both programs list free tutor support until you pass. We have no tutoring, and our guarantee works differently, so read its terms.
How does the March 1, 2027 change affect which prep you pick?
The ARRT updates the Radiography outline for anyone testing on or after March 1, 2027. Procedures goes from 66 to 72 scored questions, Safety from 50 to 46 and Patient Care from 33 to 31. Image Production stays at 51. The new passing standard was set at 130 of 200 items on the study form, against about 129 at the current standard, so it moves about one raw point on that form. The raw number varies by form, so don’t aim at exactly 130. See every change by section.
As of November 1, 2026, two competitors name the March 2027 Radiography outline. Prepry’s free study outline says it is “Built on the ARRT Radiography Content Specifications, effective March 1, 2027,” though its radiography page still links the 2022 outline. Pocket Prep’s blueprint guide explains both outlines, though its exam page lists only the 2022 one. BoardVitals points to the 2022 outline, and we found no mention of the 2027 outline on the other competitor pages we read. None of this shows whether any question bank has been updated, so ask before you buy. Our app already holds both outlines. On March 1, 2027, our generated mocks go from a pool of 2,584 to 2,504, while category drills keep all 2,584.
How do you choose the right ARRT prep for you?
Four questions settle it:
- When is your exam? If it’s within 90 days, compare the 90-day column. If it’s after March 1, 2027, read our 60-day study plan and check the outline your platform follows.
- Do you learn by watching or reading? Video learners should look at RadTechBootCamp. Readers should try a chapter such as Elbow and Shoulder first.
- What’s your budget? Pocket Prep and RadReview’s bank cost less. Check the question counts against the price.
- Are you retaking? Start with our comeback plan for a failed ARRT, then pick the platform that drills your weak sections.

Paid Radtechprepper lists 28 chapters, 2,500+ questions, 1,500+ flashcards, 35 formulas and full-length timed mocks in one login, so you wouldn’t need a second platform for any of those.
